RNAi
RNAi is a reverse genetic technique that utilizes double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) to induce post-transcriptional gene silencing and is widely used in gene function studies. Experimentally, it is sufficient to feed the worms with bacteria expressing dsRNA targeting the gene of interest, and the corresponding loss-of-function phenotype can be observed within one to two generations.
