CRISPR/Cas9 sequence knock-in technology allows researchers to insert any sequence they want, such as GFP, mCherry, wrmScarlet, FLAG, HA, and 6*HIS into the desired gene loci. Researchers could use these tags to study the expression patterns, monitor the location changes and detect the expression level of the target protein.
