RNA sequencing
RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) is a technique that uses high-throughput sequencing technology to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze mRNAs or total RNAs (with rRNA removed) from specific cells or tissues under specific conditions. It can reveal gene expression levels, discover novel transcripts, and elucidate transcriptional regulatory mechanisms such as alternative splicing.
