Stepping into 2023, SunyBiotech is pleased to kick off our first international C.elegans conference of the year. After the cancellation of the previous edition in 2020 due to the pandemic, the “2.0nd Meeting of the Italian C.elegans Research Community” (M.I.C.e.R.Co.) was successfully held in Naples on 2 and 3 March 2023.

The conference organizer includes Elia Di Schiavi (Institute of Biosciences and BioResources, National Research Council of Italy) and Simone Martinelli (Istituto Superiore di Sanità). The event was organized to facilitate the scientific interactions of researchers working, and finally to consolidate the Italian scientific community of C.elegans.

Many laboratories participated in the meeting, especially laboratories located in Italy and other European countries. On the conference they shared their informative and entertaining research findings on C.elegans. And it is worth mentioning that two Lectures were given by Prof. Mario de Bono (Institute of Science and Technology Austria) and by Dr. Germano Cecere (Institut Pasteur).

Although SunyBiotech was unable to attend the conference in person, we were still honored to make our own contributions. By sponsoring the conferences, we hope to give an opportunity to researchers to present their work, and stimulate more participants’ enthusiasm for scientific research.

As a part of the global scientific research, SunyBiotech actively participated in domestic and international conferences. As China lifted restrictions on going home and abroad, we look forward to exhibiting at more meetings in person in the near future and sharing more advanced products and services to global researchers. We hope there will be more and more researchers with various background realizing the potential that Caenorhabditis elegans offers.
